Gurugram, October 11 (TNN) A case of cheating of Rs 14 crore has been registered in Haryana on the complaint of independent MLA Balraj Kundu, his brother Shivraj Kundu and his company officials Mohammad Hashim and VK Lamba, a resident of the city. This information was given by the police.
A senior police officer has confirmed registration of a case under sections 420, 467, 468 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code on the complaint of Parivar Singh of Sector 51.
The complaint said that Balraj and his brother Shivraj of Sector 50 Nirvana Country and two officials of construction company KCC Buildcon had given them a contract for a Rs 75 crore road construction project in Madhya Pradesh.
According to the complainant, after the deal, his company started work on September 26, 2017 and by September 2020 had completed about 55 percent of the project. He said that his company had sent a total of Rs 41 crore bills to KCC Buildcon, but he was allegedly paid only Rs 27 crore.
Parivarthan Singh said that he urged the four to give Rs 14 crore several times, but they refused.
The complainant claimed that the MLA used his position and power to threaten him with dire consequences.
After Parivart Singh reported the matter, the police investigated the complaint. SHO Surendra Singh of Sector 50 Police Station said, a case was registered late Saturday night under IPC. The inspection of the matter is going on.
