Anil Deshmukh resigns as Maharashtra Home Minister hours after CBI probe purchase, Dilip Walse Patil replaces him

Mumbai authorities commissioner Param Bir Singh.
Singh, inside the plea submitted on March 25, desired a CBI probe against Deshmukh which, he stated, had expected police, including suspended cop Sachin Waze, to extort Rs 100 crore from bars and restaurants. Deshmukh features denied any wrongdoing.
a workbench of Chief Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice G S Kulkarni on Monday stated it was an “extraordinary” and “unprecedented” instance that warranted an unbiased inquiry. In its 52-page judgement, the workbench stated Singh’s allegations against Deshmukh had placed at risk the citizen’s faith in the condition police.
The courtroom said “these types of allegations, produced by a providing officer, against the state house minister could not be left unattended, and had been expected to be probed into, if prima facie, they made a case of a cognisable offense”.
The court stated a probe by a completely independent company was required in today’s situation, to “instill public self-confidence and safeguard the basic Rights regarding the people”.
A six-time member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Patil is currently offering as minister of excise and labor department in Uddhav Thackeray case. However, his portfolio has been assigned to remote developing Minister Hassan Mushrif while Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar will look after the Excise division.
Previously, Patil headed the Ministry of Finance and preparing, Energy Ministry, Higher and Technical Education Ministry, and health knowledge Ministry, all as a Cabinet Minister from 1999 to 2009. He’s considered a detailed associate of party president Sharad Pawar. Patil had started his political profession as a PA to Pawar.
