Some people held conversations with thw federal government yesterday, they have actually come from haryana and they will share their experience On Friday, the farmer leaders had said any choice on whether to send out 5 names to the Centre for a panel on MSP will be taken in the meeting as they have not yet received any

formal interaction from the government.” Our vital meeting is tomorrow(Saturday )at 11 am. In addition to discussing our pending needs, the SKM will decide the future course of the motion. Since we have not yet got any formal communication from the Centre to

send the names of 5 farmer leaders for a committee on MSP, we will choose in the meeting whether we need to send the names to them,”SKM core committee member Darshan Buddy told PTI. The Centre on Tuesday had demanded 5 names from the SKM to form a panel to ponder on MSP and other concerns. Nevertheless, the SKM in a statement said that its leaders had gotten a telephone call from the Centre on the issue but there was no formal interaction. On Monday, the central federal government had passed an expense in Parliament to repeal the 3 contentious farm

laws. Repeal of the farm laws was among the primary demands of the protesting farmers. However the stalemate continues as their other demands such as legal guarantees for MSPs, payment to families of farmers who

passed away during the motion and withdrawal of cases versus them are still to be fulfilled. The SKM, an umbrella body of 40 farmer unions, in a statement on Friday said that farmers ‘battle for pending demands continues as there is no formal guarantee from the Centre yet on them.”SKM has not received any reply from the government in response to its letter to the Prime Minister, where SKM had actually raised six essential demands as a pre-condition for withdrawal of the farm movement,”the statement said. It stated that long-term morchas in lots of places continue at the Delhi borders and elsewhere.( with PTI inputs) LIKEWISE READ: Farm laws protest will end just after govt gives written assurance on pending needs: Farmers ALSO READ: No data on farmers’death during protests, so no compensation: Govt in Parliament Newest India News Released at Fri, 03 Dec 2021 20:35:05 -0600
