Goa implies brand-new model of advancement, reflection of collective efforts, says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday lauded the advancement operates in Goa saying that today the state means a new design of development and a reflection of collective efforts. Post his interaction with the recipients and stakeholders of the ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat Swayampurna Goa program’, PM Modi stated, “When we get the assistance of the government and the tough work of individuals, how modification comes, how self-esteem comes, all of us experienced this during our discussion with the beneficiaries of Swayampurna Goa.”

“Goa means nature and tourist, however today it likewise suggests a new model of advancement and a reflection of cumulative efforts. Goa indicates solidarity for advancement from panchayat to administration,” he added.

The Prime Minister further said that Goa achieved a 100 percent target of providing electrical energy connection to every family.

“India set the goal of being devoid of open defecation. Goa achieved this target 100 per cent. The country has set a target of supplying electricity connection to every household. Goa got it 100 per cent. In Har Ghar Jal Abhiyan – Goa First 100 percent! In the matter of providing free ration to the poor – Goa 100 percent,” he added.

The effort of Swayampurna Goa was introduced on October 1, 2020.

Under this programme, a state government officer is designated as ‘Swayampurna Mitra’. The Mitra goes to a designated panchayat or municipality, interacts with people, collaborates with numerous federal government departments and guarantees that different federal government schemes and advantages are readily available to the eligible recipients.
