Have Gandhis been vaccinated? Congress needs to clarify: BJP hits back after Rahul Gandhi'' s attack on PM Modi
Reacting to Rahul Gandhi’s ‘white paper’ on the Centre’s Covid management, the Bharatiya Janata Celebration on Tuesday implicated the Congress of politicising India’s continuous battle versus the Covid pandemic. Communicating with journalists throughout a press conference in New Delhi, senior BJP leader Sambit Patra said the whenever a ‘decisive point is available in India’s fight against COVID-19, Congress tries to politicise it’.
Patra stated the Congress needs to clarify whether the very first household of celebration – Sonia, Rahul, Priyanka Gandhi, Robert Vadra – have taken the Covid vaccine or not.
“I would wish to provide an unsolicited guidance to Rahul Gandhiji… for how long will you continue to do virtual press conference. Try and visit the Congress- ruled states and see it for yourself how they have actually lagged behind in carrying out vaccination. The 2nd wave (of Covid) started from Congress-ruled states and they were the worst impacted too,” the BJP leader said.

‘Gyani Baba’: Smriti Irani mocks Rahul Gandhi
Union Minister Smriti Irani too attacked Rahul Gandhi while explaining the failures of Congress managed states in handling the pandemic.
“While Gyani Baba is dispensing pearls of wisdom to Honorable Prime Minister, he may like to introspect on the following – – Where did 2nd wave begin? – Congress ruled states – Which states had big portion of India’s cases and deaths? – Congress ruled states,” Irani said in a series of tweets.
“State with the greatest case fatality rate – Congress ruled state – States with optimal sound versus vaccines developing vaccine hesitancy – Congress ruled states – States which had an astronomical positivity rate throughout the second wave – Congress ruled states,” she added.
The BJP’s outburst against Rahul Gandhi followed the previous Congress president described the Modi government’s handling of very first and second wave of COVID-19 as ‘devastating’.
“There were certain factors regarding why it was devastating, we have actually attempted to mention those factors in our white paper. This is a plan about how to respond to the 3rd wave which is going to come. It is our objective to supply the government with details and insights into what failed,” Rahul Gandhi stated speaking throughout a virtual press interaction.

The objective of this white paper is not finger-pointing at the federal government but to help the nation prepare for the third wave of infection, he said.
Asserting that the main pillar to fight Covid is vaccination, Gandhi stated it is crucial that “we cross bridge of 100 per cent vaccination as soon as possible”.
