India handled Covid pandemic much better than lots of industrialized nations, states Prime Minister Modi


NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Modi has actually admired his government’s handling of the continuous Covid-19 pandemic, and stressed upon the requirement to make every child of the nation ‘self reliant’.
“It is necessary that every child gets chances, that no longer keeps them dependent but provides them support to become self-reliant to satisfy their goals with dignity,” he informed Open magazine in a wide-ranging interview.
“Covid-19 was a worldwide scourge. India has done much better than its peers and lots of industrialized countries,” he included.
Speaking about his journey from his native place, Gandhinagar to New Delhi – the prime minister said he didn’t even have a remote connection to politics which his friends pressed him into it
“It was only at the insistence of some pals, that I joined politics. Even there, I was in a position where I was primarily doing organisational work,” he informed the publication.
