Kanhaiya Kumar joins Congress after meeting Rahul Gandhi; Jignesh Mewani says ideologically with party

join due to technical factors.” We anticipate dealing with these young leaders, Kumar & & Mevani, to defeat the fascist forces ruling this country,” said Congress General Secretary (Organisation) KC Venugopal.
“Kanhaiya Kumar is a symbol of the defend liberty of expression in this country. He combated against fundamentalism as a trainee leader. The joining of kind of vibrant personality will fill the entire cadre of Congress with interest,” Venugopal said.

On The Other Hand, Gujarat MLA Jignesh Mewani who objected to as an independent MLA likewise went to the presser and stated, “I could not join the Congress officially due to technical factors. I am an independent MLA, if I sign up with a celebration, I might not continue as an MLA … I become part of the Congress ideologically, will combat the upcoming Gujarat surveys from Congress symbol.”
Former JNU students’ union president Kanhaiya Kumar had joined the Communist Celebration of India (CPI) ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha election and had unsuccessfully objected to from Begusarai in Bihar versus Giriraj Singh of the BJP.
Mevani, who is presently a legislator in Gujarat and represents the Vadgam constituency, is the convener of the Rashtriya Dalit Adhikar Manch (RDAM).
He is a lawyer-activist and a former reporter. Mevani’s entry into the Congress comes at a time when it is wooing the set up castes community after handpicking the first Dalit chief minister of Punjab.
