
Greater Noida (UP), October 12 (TNN). A leopard appeared again at the NTPC plant here late in the evening, after which there was chaos in the NTPC campus. Forest department personnel are looking for the leopard.
DFO Pramod Kumar Srivastava said that the leopard came into the NTPC plant a week ago. The team of the department has investigated on the spot. After this, claws of the animal were taken and web cameras were installed, after which it was confirmed that the animal seen in the plant is the leopard.
He said, advisory has been issued as soon as the leopard is confirmed, cages have been placed for the NTPC administration to catch the leopard. If the leopard is present there it will be caught. However, efforts are being made to catch the leopards at the earliest.
CISF personnel are deployed in Ash Mount area. It was the jawans who saw an animal like leopard. After this, information was given to the forest department. According to the information, two years ago, the forest department had set up cages to catch leopards in the same area. At that time, a fishing cat was caught.
