Esplanade Court in Mumbai on Monday sent Aryan Khan, Arbaz Seth Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha in the custody of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) till October 7. NCB detained Shah Rukh Khan’s child on charges of usage, sale, and purchase of narcotic drugs, after a rave celebration was busted aboard a high-end cruise liner. The agency busted a supposed drugs celebration on the Cordelia Cruise liner which was on its method to Goa at mid-sea on Saturday night.

Extra Chief Metropolitan Magistrate R M Nerlikar noted that the examination in the event is of prime value and considering this element, the presence of the implicated before the NCB is required.

“The fact is that the co-accused in the event were found in belongings of drugs and these 3 accused (Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha) were accompanying them. Examination is of prime importance and for this reason it is helpful for both the prosecution and the implicated to prove their innocence,” the court stated.

6 other implicated – Nupur Satija, Ishmeet Chadha, Mohak Jaiswal, Gomit Chopra, Vikrant Chhokar and a drug supplier from suburban Juhu, were apprehended late on Sunday and produced before the magistrate’s court on Monday.

The accused were produced before a Mumbai Court after their medical. Previously, NCB informed the court that they require Aryan in custody till October 11.

“Cruise ship celebration case: ASG Anil Singh standing for NCB prior to a Mumbai Court states accused Aryan Khan, Arbaz Seth Merchant& & Munmun Dhamecha booked under 8C, 20, 27,&& 35 NDPS Act. 5 more detained & & under examination, he sends prior to court. NCB seeks 9-day custody of the accused,” tweeted ANI.

Meanwhile, NCB’s Superintendent V.V. Singh, in his arrest memo, said that Aryan Khan was being jailed under the NDPS Act for his “participation in the consumption, sale and purchase of contraband” (drugs) together with other known and unknown individuals.

The arrest was made in connection with the seizure of 13 gms drug, 5 gms MD, 21 gms charas, and 22 pills of MDMA, absolutely worth Rs 1,33,000 from him. Aryan Khan, 23, acknowledged and said that he understood the grounds of his arrest and has actually informed his family of the exact same.
