NCP’s Dilip Walse Patil very likely to replace Anil Deshmukh as Maharashtra Home Minister

National Congress celebration (NCP) leader Dilip Walse Patil is anticipated to replace Anil Deshmukh once the new home minister of Maharashtra. Deshmukh resigned on Monday from their post, hours following the Bombay High Court purchased a CBI probe into corruption costs leveled against him. 

Earlier, the large court ordered a CBI probe in to the graft charges against Deshmukh by previous Mumbai Police chief Param Bir Singh. The judge directed the central company to perform a preliminary inquiry within 15 days. 

In his page, Deshmukh stated he could be going upon “moral reasons” after the Bombay High legal’s purchase. He delivered his letter of resignation to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray who heads an alliance government on Shiv Sena, NCP, and Congress. 

Last month, former Mumbai Police main Param Bir Singh triggered a-row claiming that Deshmukh had expected suspended Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Vaze, that has been arrested inside SUV instance and it is in NIA custody, to get Rs 100 crore from Mumbai’s restaurants, bars and hookah bars. 

Singh had alleged that Deshmukh used to phone police officers to their official residence and give them a “collection target” from pubs, restaurants as well as other establishments.

A six-time member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Patil, the frontrunner when it comes to residence minister’s post, is currently serving as minister of excise and work division into the Uddhav Thackeray pantry. Formerly, Patil headed the Ministry of Finance and preparing, Energy Ministry, Higher and Specialized Education Ministry, and healthcare knowledge Ministry, all as a Cabinet Minister from 1999 to 2009. He’s considered a close associate of party president Sharad Pawar. Patil had started their political profession as a PA to Pawar.
