NCP's Dilip Walse Patil very likely to change Anil Deshmukh as Maharashtra Residence Minister
Nationwide Congress Party (NCP) frontrunner Dilip Walse Patil is expected to restore Anil Deshmukh once the new house minister of Maharashtra. Deshmukh resigned on Monday from his post, hours following the Bombay tall Court purchased a CBI probe into corruption charges leveled against him.
Earlier in the day, the high judge ordered a CBI probe to the graft fees against Deshmukh by previous Mumbai Police chief Param Bir Singh. The judge directed the main agency to carry out an initial query within 15 times.
In the page, Deshmukh said he is going down on “moral reasons” following the Bombay High legal’s order. He delivered his letter of resignation to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray who heads an alliance federal government on Shiv Sena, NCP, and Congress.
Last month, previous Mumbai Police main Param Bir Singh caused a-row saying that Deshmukh had asked suspended Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Vaze, that has been arrested into the SUV instance and is in NIA custody, to gather Rs 100 crore from Mumbai’s restaurants, pubs and hookah bars.
Singh had alleged that Deshmukh regularly call police to their official residence and provide them a “collection target” from taverns, restaurants also organizations.
A six-time member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Patil, the frontrunner when it comes to house minister’s post, is serving as minister of excise and work division in Uddhav Thackeray pantry. Previously, Patil headed the Ministry of Finance and thinking, Energy Ministry, Higher and Technical Education Ministry, and healthcare knowledge Ministry, all as a Cabinet Minister from 1999 to 2009. He could be considered a close associate of celebration president Sharad Pawar. Patil had started their governmental profession as a PA to Pawar.
