NCP’s Dilip Walse Patil more likely to replace Anil Deshmukh as Maharashtra Home Minister

Nationwide Congress celebration (NCP) frontrunner Dilip Walse Patil is expected to displace Anil Deshmukh as the new home minister of Maharashtra. Deshmukh resigned on Monday from their post, hours after the Bombay High Court purchased a CBI probe into corruption charges leveled against him. 

Earlier in the day, the high courtroom ordered a CBI probe to the graft charges against Deshmukh by former Mumbai Police chief Param Bir Singh. The court directed the main company to carry out a preliminary query within 15 times. 

In the letter, Deshmukh stated he could be going down on “moral reasons” after the Bombay tall legal’s purchase. He sent his letter of resignation to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray just who heads an alliance government on Shiv Sena, NCP, and Congress. 

Final thirty days, former Mumbai Police chief Param Bir Singh triggered a-row claiming that Deshmukh had expected suspended Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Vaze, who has been arrested in the SUV situation and it is in NIA custody, to collect Rs 100 crore from Mumbai’s restaurants, bars and hookah pubs. 

Singh had alleged that Deshmukh always call cops to their formal residence and provide all of them a “collection target” from pubs, restaurants alongside establishments.

A six-time member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Patil, the frontrunner for house minister’s post, happens to be serving as minister of excise and work department in Uddhav Thackeray pantry. Previously, Patil headed the Ministry of Finance and Planning, Energy Ministry, Higher and Specialized Education Ministry, and health knowledge Ministry, all as a Cabinet Minister from 1999 to 2009. He is known to be a detailed connect of celebration president Sharad Pawar. Patil had started his governmental career as a PA to Pawar.
