PAK vs NZ: We’ll take this self-confidence forward, states Babar Azam
, 2021. Pakistan captain Babar Azam on Tuesday said his group would aim to carry the self-confidence forward after beating New Zealand by 5 wickets for its second succeeding win in the T20 World Cup here.
Sent out into bat, New Zealand were restricted to 134 for 8. Pakistan completed the task with 8 balls to extra, barely two days after beating India by 10 wickets.
“It’s constantly excellent to win, we’ll take this self-confidence forward in the competition,” Babar said at the presentation ceremony.
Male of the Match Haris Rauf led a medical bowling display with an exceptional four-wicket haul before Shoaib Malik and Asif Ali’s assault as Pakistan took “revenge” on New Zealand for a recent off-field snub.
“The way the bowlers, Shaheen (Afridi) and Haris Rauf particularly bowled was really impressive,” Babar included.
