Rajnath Singh invokes crisis powers allowing Armed Forces to create Covid services
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday granted crisis economic powers on three solutions to allow formation commanders to establish and operate hospitals along with quarantine services for COVID-19 clients.

It said the corps commanders and area commanders are delegated capabilities up to Rs 50 lakh per case while unit commanders and sub area commanders and equivalents being delegated abilities to Rs 20 lakh per case.
The disaster powers were sanctioned on military just last year also whenever COVID-19 pandemic first smashed completely.
The ministry said the grant of the powers had assisted the military to tackle the specific situation faster and in a very good way.
A week ago, the ministry sanctioned emergency financial abilities of Rs 5 crore to the director general of medical services associated with three services for COVID-19 associated procurement.
Disaster powers for procurement worth Rs 3 crore had been delegated to major-general rank health officers while Brigadier rank medical officials has the powers in order to make expenditures worth Rs 2 crore.
