The Kashmir Files tax free: Rabri Devi Angry at CM Nitish
RJD leader Rabri Devi’s husband, Lalu Prasad, had raised questions about the Godhra train fire as the then Minister of Railways.
Rabri Devi also said films should be made about the mob violence that took place all over Gujarat.

Patna: Former Bihar Prime Minister Rabri Devi launched a fierce attack on Nitish Kumar’s government in the state on Thursday for exempting the film ‘The Kashmir Files’ from entertainment tax and said watching the film “does not fill people’s stomachs”. ‘
Talking to reporters outside the Legislative Council, Rabri Devi also took a jibe at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with remarks that films should be made on the riots in Gujarat after the Godhra train fire.

“They’re making a tax-free movie. People’s stomachs don’t fill up watching the movie. It does not employ unemployed people. The government in power considers that it has fulfilled all its obligations by distributing a few kilograms of cereals within the framework of social schemes.

Rabri Devi also said films should be made about the communal violence that took place across Gujarat, of which Narendra Modi was then Prime Minister. Meanwhile, another senior RJD official, Shivanand Tiwari, released a statement criticizing Nitish Kumar’s “silence” on the matter.

Tiwari said, “BJP, which is an alliance partner, was able to get a tax exemption for a movie that just portrays a community in a poor way.

This was not what was expected of Nitish Kumar, who belongs to the socialist camp. He also said it was no coincidence that BJP leaders across the country were talking about the film directed by Vivek Agnihotri and starring Anupam Kher.
He said The Kashmir Files director Vivek Agnihotri and Actor Anupam Kher are known to be strong supporters of BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
