The Mufti appeared before reporters outside his residence on Gupkar Road in Srinagar with the flag of the former state of Jammu and Kashmir and the flag of his party.
Mufti was earlier in custody for 14 months. He said that his fight is not limited to the withdrawal of Article 370, but also to resolve the Kashmir issue.
He said, till we get our flag back, we will not hoist another flag.
He said that the Central Government is not interested in the interests of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
He said, he is not interested in the people of Jammu and Kashmir. What they want is the area, which was legally held by people here till August 5 last year. But they broke the relationship that was based on accession. We had a relationship with a liberal, secular and democratic India, we are not comfortable with today's India.
He said, we boycotted the panchayat elections. We will talk to our workers and the Alliance will decide on the election issue. As far as I am concerned, I will not contest any election without the flag of the former state of Jammu and Kashmir.
